Fairytales suck...
... and Samantha Jennings is living proof. Raised by a mother as wary and bitter as she is beautiful, Samantha has longed for most of her twenty-nine years to know more about her past – who her real father is, who she is. She never imagined her grand revelation would come in the form of a smug tabloid stringer on her doorstep.
In an instant, Samantha is transformed from anonymous veterinarian with a passion for whales to bastard American royalty under relentless scrutiny from every conceivable direction. Desperate for escape, she takes a job nursing rescued sea mammals on a private Caribbean island, a place so remote even maritime navigators barely know it exists. Her new employer is wealthy, charming, fiercely handsome, and his interest in Sam is clearly more than just professional. Happy endings may be in short supply, but she dares to hope that hers could be in the making.
And then Sam overhears a conversation, one not meant for human ears, so unnerving it threatens to undo both her heart and her mind. Her fairytale has only just begun and it's far from the simple fable she thought it was.

The 7th Tear edition by Katherine Bayless Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
I love her clairvoyant series, but i really did not like this book. The female protagonist is verry gullible and the guy is not so interesting. Two other males in the book were more interesting than the main characters. Not recommended.
An interesting take on were animals. Enjoyable but with some drawbacks. If there is another book coming I would read the preview before purchasing. The novelty of the world setting might wear off with further exposure.
I'm not terribly familiar with this author, but I enjoy her style. Her characters are developed well. Her plot is woven very thoughtfully. I love her heroine.
It was a sweet book... maybe a little too sweet for my taste. It was more like a harlequin novel. Those are not my favorites. I would recommend this as a good beach read. Keep up the good writing, Katherine.
Not much to say. It did nothing for me. It was inconsistent, from something wrong and suspicious with the guy to being attracted in less than a page. It was annoying and irritating. I did not finish the book. It was disappointing as I enjoyed the Clairvoyant's series.
I was very taken with the story line. The characters were well developed. The story was suspenseful in places. It was certainly a unique story. I enjoyed the concept of the story very much. A page turner for sure.
7th Tear was interesting but felt like a padded short story. Ms Bayless finds ways to weave overlooked social realities into her work. This book is not on par with her earlier work.
Most of the characters ring hollow, no depth, no flavor as to who they are. The heroine' s whining just left me irritated. Especially since I know Bayless has the skills for better.
This book reads like a comic book. It is full of shallow images and that disappointed me, after the movable feast of Deadly Remains I expected more.
Spoiler alert !!!!!
